a picture of us before and after.

look, we’re growing up.

I’m not blood related with them, but I consider them family. I consider them my cousins. It’s a picture of my cousins and I. It feels like it was just yesterday when that bottom picture was taken. Time really does fly. I still remember when we were little and we’d go over to each others houses and play all the time. But look now, three of my cousins graduated. Angel’s gonna stay here for college, RJ’s gonna go into the Navy, and Charlene’s gonna be off to New York for pre-med. I’m really proud of each of them :’)

no other words can explain my happiness for them :’)

sophomore year done,

I can’t believe sophomore year is done already. The pIctures above are just some of the many things that happened this year. Even though things weren’t the same as freshmen year and even though I’ve been through a lot with my parents separation/family and whatnot, it has been a good year for me in school. I’ve kept busy throughout the year with all the extracurriculars I joined and even kept up my grades. Joining njrotc and council this year was a challenge but yet fun. I’ve gained a lot of experience and I have grown as a person and learned more about myself. I’ve gotten even closer to a few people this year and even created great friendships in njrotc that I know will last beyond high school. It really was a great year filled with many laughs, tears, and memories. Now that sophomore year is done with, realization has hit. I’m growing up. These past two years in high school has gone by fast, I’m kind of scared of how the next two years will be. I’m no longer a sophomore, I’m now a junior. I kind of hope the next two years will be better than the past two years. well… goodbye sophomore year, hello junior year.

I need to remind myself that there’s always another chance.

well, the end of the school year is here and the awards have come for njrotc.

I may have not gotten the awards I wanted to get in njrotc, but it’s okay. Knowing that I worked hard for the unit is enough for me. I didn’t get a ribbon or medals from the various organizations, but I got a certificate from the Marine Corps for Scholastic Excellence. I aimed really hard to get the outstanding NS1 ribbon.. but I didn’t get it. But it’s okay because I know that I tried my best. I may have not gotten it, but I’m going to be X/O for Unarmed Drill Team, something that means a lot to me. I realized that it was just my first year and I believe that I have accomplished so much more than what other NS1’s have done. No one may have noticed, but at the end of the day it’s my feeling of accomplishment that matters. I actually did something and worked hard for it. Yeah, it sucks that I didn’t get most outstanding NS1 cadet, but oh well. There’s always next year. It was a great and memorable first year and I’m going to miss all the seniors that helped me this year. I need to step it up for next year now. I need to remind myself that even though I didn’t get what I wanted, there’s always another chance.

I just want to get away from everything and everyone. I’m sick and tired of this cold world.
